Maroncelli 12 opens its doors with the exhibition “Marie-Claire Guyot. The secret opera”.
The Gallery makes its debut with a show dedicated to an outsider artist, one of the first spaces in Milan where to explore the world of Art Brut, so little known in Italy. Those are authors that didn’t get a particular artistic education; their creativity raised from an interior necessity: instinctive art, works that dialogue with unconscious. The focus is to promote artists of exceptional talent, exhibiting the “classic” names of Art Brut already featured in museums and collections and discovering the stars of the future. The gallery, a short walk from Brera artistic neighborhood, will hold regular exhibitions, hosting conferences, screenings, and other cultural events with the aim of initiating an ever wider audience into the mysteries of Art Brut.
